"Mr. Thos. Barnes, living on Telegraph street, and who has been a constant resident of Frederick for the past 40 years, died yesterday of general debility, aged 73 years. He leaves a wife, two daughters and one son to mourn their loss. His funeral will take place tomorrow at [?], interment to be made at Mt. Olivet cemetery."

"Mrs. Mary Barnes, a widow, died Wednesday night at 10 o'clock at Fairview, this county, of heart disease, aged 76 years and 2 months. She leaves two daughters and one son -- Mrs. Summers, at whose home she died; Mrs. Burrier, of this city, and Mr. Samuel Barnes, of near Jefferson. Her husband died in 1887. Her funeral will take place Saturday at 10 a.m., interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery."

"Mrs. Margaret Koehler, an estimable woman of this city, died at her home on West Fifth street last evening at 9:30 o'clock, aged 76 years 2 months and 10 days. Deceased was the widow of the late Frederick Koehler, who died about six years ago. Mrs. Koehler was paralyzed some days ago, the effects of which left her in a condition too weak to survive the shock. She leaves nine children, who as Frederick Koehler of Washington; Henry Koehler, of Lancaster, Pa; Messrs. Edward, Lewis, and Philip Calvin, of this city, and Mrs. John E. Fleming, wife of ex-mayor Fleming; Mrs. Frances Becker, Mrs. Samuel Barnes, of near Jefferson, this county, and Miss Cora Koehler. The funeral of the deceased will take place from her late home on Monday afternoon next at 2 o'clock."

"Marion Albertus Barnes, son of Samuel Barnes, died on Tuesday, December 15 at his father's home, near Mt. Zion, aged 23 years, of a complication of troubles. The funeral will take place tomorrow morning, with services at the house at 10 o'clock and interment at Mt. Olivet cemetery."

She is survived by the following sons and daughters: John W. Barnes near Feagaville; Harry F. Barnes near Mt. Pleasant; Samuel F. Barnes near Jefferson; Charles R. Barnes, Frederick; Mrs. George Cline, Frederick; and Miss Sallie F. Barnes, Braddock Heights. Also two sisters and one brother survive, Mrs. Frances Becker, Washington; Mrs. Sallie Fleming, Frederick, and Henry Koehler, Frederick. Funeral from the home of her son, near Jefferson, Tuesday morning at 10:30 o'clock. Interment Mt. Olivet cemetery. M. R. Etchison, funeral directors."

"Samuel Frederick 'Teen' Barnes, well known business man of near Jefferson, died at the home of his niece, Mrs. Roger E. Engle, 124 E. Fourth street, Monday morning at 3:30 o'clock after an illness of seven weeks, aged 71 years. He was a son of the late Samuel T. and Ella V. Kehller Barnes.

Mr. Barnes had engaged in the buying and selling of livestock and farming all his adult life and was well-known throughout the county.

Surviving him are three brothers and two sisters: John W. Barnes, near Church Hill; Harry T. Barnes, Mt. Pleasant; Charles R. Barnes, Frederick; Mrs. Mary Ann Cline, Rockville; Miss Sallie F. Barnes, Washington; a number of nieces and nephews.

The body is at the funeral home, 106 East Church street, where it will remain until this morning when it will be taken to the home of Mrs. Engle, 124 East Fourth street, from which the funeral will take place Wednesday morning at eleven o'clock. Interment in Mount Olivet cemetery. M. R. Etchison and Son, funeral directors."
