Possible 1810 Census entry in Allegany Co., MD in Amazon Shoebox. There is another William Barnes in Allegany Co., but the ages don't make sense.

«u»http://www.cardington-ohio-heritage.com/cardington01.html«/u» (Appears to be copied from "History of Morrow County" @ «u»http://books.google.com/books?id=PBQVAAAAYAAJ«/u» ) "«b»William Barnes«/b» was another newcomer of this year [1824]. He came from Mechanicsburg, Ohio, and entered the farm where Craven Jenkins now lives, which he afterward sold to his son-in-law and went further west."

"FIRST PUBLIC LIBRARY: Another enterprise of the early time should not be overlooked. In 1830, a public library was inaugurated somewhat on the plan of modern book clubs. Slocum Bunker, Lewis Barge, Doctor Andrews and «b»William Barnes«/b» started the project, and were joined by others."
