"Mrs. Bessie M. Poole, 81, who for years was superintendent of the Braddock Heights Amusement Park, died at the Monocacy Nursing Home in Frederick Tuesday evening. Mrs. Poole, widow of John W.L. Poole had been a patient in the home for the past nine weeks. Born near Feagaville, on Oct. 10, 1880, she was a daughter of the late Charles Edward and Elizabeth A. Englebower, Feaga. A member of Grace United Church of Christ, she was the treasurer of the Faithful Circle Bible Class for 25 years, member and past noble grand of the Samaratin Rebekah Lodge No. 51, I.O.O.F. Surviving are two children, Mrs. B. Elizabeth Remsburg, Middletown, with whom she resided until recently, and Charles W. Poole, of Walkersville, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. The body is at the Dailey Funeral Home, 1201 Market St., Frederick, where friends may call. Funeral services will be conducted there Friday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ralph E. Wilbelm officiating. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. Graveside services will be held by the Rebekah Lodge."
