Shared note	From family Bible: "Samuel Oterbine Nace, in defense of his Country, lost his life in the battle of Cedar Mountain, in the Rebel State of Virginia, on the 9th day of August, A.D. 1862, aged 20 years, 6 months, and 19 days. My son, rest in Jesus." Mamam also notes: "David Benjamin Nace went into this battle with his brother and never saw him again. Body was never found." However, David's service records state that he enlisted two days after his brother's death with a different infantry unit.
